Stop/Motion, a popup exhibition featuring the abstract textile paintings of Joy Ray, presents new works created in and around the time of quarantine. The works in this timely show investigate the intersection of time, pressure and energy, drawing inspiration from the colors and textures of Hawai’i’s lava formations.
